Thorne is a name that has been synonymous with Bristol for over 400 years.
In the 1520's an ancestor of the family was Robert Thorne, who was a merchant trader and also an acquaintance of the city's most famous adventurer, John Cabot.
As we move into the next century it's interesting to note that Thorne was established in the last century when the family concentrated on specialised removals.
This included safes and bullion runs which during the 1950's led to a full time commitment to the business of security. Few other security companies have such a wide range of experience and specialised knowledge of this trade with the combined experience of 9 of our key employees totalling over 160 years.
We recognise that different customers have different needs. For that reason Thorne Security has been structured into four divisions, - Locksmith Division, Safe Division, Trade Division and Shutter Division.
